Walls & Birds are taking it easy, singing and playing songs for the early birds as well as the late risers, weather you're still in your pyjamas or your sunday bests, weather you're still awake or just woken up: everyone is invited to join lounging and listening, closing eyes and kissing new years early kisses. 

 

The occasion is surely one to sit back and relax but also an opportunity to look back and reflect, please mind the gap: the old year, in many ways, still casts it's strange shadow and the world in which we find ourselves, our fellow friends and neighbours, in many ways still seems to be one of need and greed, of anger and fear. So let us not grow desperate. Let us not give in to those resentful of a past of white supremacy, money, power and wealth. Let not the careless and ruthless rule our hearts and thoughts nor that of our youth and children, let them not cloud the minds with devious propaganda and false talking. 

 

Instead let us be friendly and courageous, stand firm and warm and close together and let us start a future of judicious and carefully considered cooperation because every new year, yes every new day is indeed an opportunity to make a difference! 

 

Bring someone you like, bring someone you haven't seen in a while, invite someone you’d like to see again and whomever you wish to see and hear something nice, bring your friends, fans, plants, pets and family or come alone and enjoy the sound of music played live and in colour for the first time in 2024 at Villa Neukoelln - 7pm.
